The little leaders of Leskovets.
Leskovets village is settled into the Bulgarian hills, around 7 kilometers from the municipality center Pernik where Surva festival is held each year. The tradition runs deep in the core identity of the village.
In the 1970s, their masks were made of feathers and wings, because near the village there had been a poultry farm and this facilitated the creation of the masks. Today, their masks are typically made of furs and horns.
